UN envoy lauds improved relations between Sudan & S. Sudan

October 22, 2020 (NEW YORK) – The United Nations Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa, Parfait Onanga-Anyanga has lauded the strengthening relations between Sudan and neighboring South Sudan.
While briefing the Security Council on Thursday after visiting Sudan, Onanga-Anyanga said the relationship between Sudan and South Sudan continues to strengthen, adding that both countries agreed to review all their 2012 cooperation agreements with immediate effect.

Malong denies calling for removal of ministers, two VPs

October 22, 2020 (NAIROBI) – The opposition South Sudan United Front/Army (SSUF/A) has dismissed allegations that its leader, Gen. Paul Malong Awan secretly asked for removal of certain ministers and two Vice-Presidents as a pre-condition for his return to the country.

Ex-minister calls for free and fair elections in South Sudan

October 21, 2020 (JUBA) – A former South Sudanese Petroleum minister has said free and fair elections will resolve the country' woes.
